Munchies in Glide Oregon

I love this place!

Yes I am partial because it reminds me of my childhood - but do not let my nostalgic feelings sway you.

This little hole in wall place is worth you stopping by (on your way to/from Crater Lake).

The food is good - and the portions will fill you up!   Hand cut fries - every thing tastes "home made".

My pick?  The Wildcat Burger!   Its a great burger.

Insider tip - well I hear its NOT on the menu but if you ask for it, rumor is they still might make it for you - the oven burrito.   Its not your ordinary burrito - its not one you can pick up!   So if you are feeling adventurous give it a try.

Travelers - this is a great place for breakfast.  If you are headed out to Crater Lake, stop here for breakfast, another one of my tips- order one breakfast and split it (because its that big)

Give this place a try

Umpqua Coffee Co in Roseburg Oregon

Best cup of coffee?

Maybe so!

If you are in the mood for not your typical cup of Java, like I was, you are in for a treat!

I generally do not drink the blended coffee drinks, but as I said today was a special treat - an boy was it!

Treat  yourself to this place - order one of their blended iced coffee drinks - they are amazing.  Rich in flavor, thick, it was like experiencing one of the best milkshakes I have had in a long time - but it was COFFEE.

The experience gets better - ask for the HOMEMADE whipped topping.  Its not just homemade whipped cream, because the owner actually infuses flavors into her whipped topping adding another layer of goodness to your drink

Try this place - tell them Kevin sent ya :)

Kowloons in Roseburg Oregon

what can i say - its the Chinese food that I grew up with and still love very much to this day.

The unique thing about Kowloons is that its menu and recipes have not changed in DECADES and this is a good thing.  It provides predictability.  If its not broke then why fix it?

My must have is of coarse the "Mar Far Chicken" with their pink sauce!  I am also a fan of their Pan Fried Noodles (some of the best that I have come across).

The food here is good, its above your typical greasy spoon Chinese take out, but do not expect any artsy fushion type of food either (that seems to be the trend).

This place is great for families or groups (check out the round table options).

Service is "fair".

Portions are huge!

Dungeons Crab Eggs Benedict

I have come across what has been one of my most favorite Eggs Benedict to date.

Its the Dungeons Crab Eggs Benedict at The Starfish Grill in Newport (located within the Agate Beach Resort).

I was amazed at how the flavors complemented one another so well.

The portion of crab was by far the most surprising as there was a heaping amount of crab.
